I didn't know Patrick, but always sad to hear one of our branch has passed on, RIP. Dave Hilton I knew, last time I saw him was on a flight to Aberdeen from London, had a chat, and he gave me his card, I think he retired a Commander, if anyone knows how Taff Zwartz died, please let me know, he was a smashing guy, I knew him through the offshore scene.

Come tomorrow 27th, I reach that magic number of 69, where has the time gone, seems only yesterday I did my 2's course, albeit 42 years ago now, same time I got hitched.

To wish you all a happy and prosprous new year for 2012 guys

Sorry to hear the sad news about Taff Zwarts passing away. He was such a likable old rogue, great fun to be with & always ready for a new dawn.
He goes up there to join a good team. They will look after him.
All the best Taffy boy. Thanks for some wonderfull memories

Pete,
Not sure whether I will be at the dinner next year as it will be a busy time offshore. Depending on when you are over, and where you will be staying, I could pop down and see you. Take care

Hello everyone. I just wanted to say that it is a really nice site. My uncle (Les Axford) was a Royal Marine who worked with Lt Cdr LKP Crabb in Gibraltar in 42/43, he also knew him in Portsmouth, so I grew up listening to stories of his eccentricities! I joined HMG 1989 and ended up at MoD until 1998. Everyone there knew of my interest in Crabb. I joined the RNXS (by accident) and was one of only 2 members in Birmingham. I was appointed List 2(R) due to my clearance level and prior experience as a qualified PPL pilot and civil qualified diver. Not a lot of sea in Brum, but at least we had Gas Street Basin and the canals to practice in. Happy times.
